🎮 Game Description

This is a fast-paced Pokémon strategy battler focused on short, intense matches and meaningful team-building choices. Battles last around one minute, pushing you to think quickly and adapt on the fly.

The game takes place in a familiar hotel setting, where a Pokémon card game tournament is underway. You’ve been invited to compete—but as the tournament unfolds, it becomes clear that something more mysterious may be happening behind the scenes.

A core design goal of the project is to make every Pokémon viable. Unlike traditional Pokémon games where many creatures feel strictly inferior, here each Pokémon has a purpose, identity, and strategic niche. Whether it’s a legendary powerhouse or a fan-favorite underdog, every choice can shine with the right setup.

🧠 Gameplay & Mechanics

⚔️ Team Formation

• Each team can have up to 3 Pokémon
• Pokémon are placed in Front Row or Back Row
  • Front Row: Takes most attacks
  • Back Row: Protected while a front Pokémon exists, but 30% slower

🧩 Abilities & Loadouts

• Every Pokémon has:
  • 2 attack slots
  • 1 ability slot
• Before each battle, you choose which attacks and abilities to bring based on your opponent
• Preparation and matchup knowledge are key

⭐ Rarity & Customization System

• Pokémon are classified by rarity (e.g. Uncommon, Super Rare)
  • Example: Flareon (Uncommon) vs Entei (Super Rare)
• Higher rarity Pokémon are naturally stronger
• However, stat-boosting items scale better on lower-rarity Pokémon
  • This allows you to heavily invest in favorites and make them just as strong as legendaries
• Love a Pokémon? You can build around it and win.
